Redesigns fail for predictable reasons. Here’s how to avoid them.
No Discovery
- Problem — Jump to design. No audit. No baseline. Building blind.
- Fix — Audit first. Traffic, conversion, content. Know what you have. Know what’s broken.
Content Not Ready
- Problem — “We’ll get content later.” Build finishes. Content doesn’t. Launch delays.
- Fix — Content ready before build. Or content plan. Have copy (or a writer) lined up.
Scope Creep
- Problem — “Can we add a blog?” “What about a portal?” Scope grows. Timeline slips.
- Fix — Lock scope. Phase 2. Additions go to the backlog. Not mid-project.
No Success Metrics
- Problem — “We need a new site.” Why? No baseline. No way to measure success.
- Fix — Define success. Lead volume, conversion rate, organic traffic. Baseline before. Compare after.
Wrong Partner
- Problem — Agency that doesn’t listen. Or doesn’t deliver. Or disappears.
- Fix — Check references. Ask about process. Weekly delivery. Transparent. No black box.
We run projects that succeed. Start a project.
